Trinity Lutheran Church places a high value on providing resources to build, support and strengthen the lives of families and children. Trinity provides a number of resources, activities and groups to encourage parents as they strive to raise their children in the Christian faith.
Trinity Lutheran School
Since 1860, Trinity Lutheran Church has supported and maintained a Christian day school, with the purpose of providing a Christ-centered education for the Springfield community. provides a safe, healthy and nurturing environment in a Christ-centered atmosphere for children 2 years old through 8th grade. Trinity Lutheran School caring teachers are committed to teaching the skills each child needs to reach their potential in all areas of their development. Trinity Lutheran School has four core values:

Family Home Life Team
The Family Home Life Team helps meet the needs of Trinity church and school members as they encounter the challenges of Christian life and parenting in the home. This team hosts seminars on various topics and plans events and activities throughout the year centered on building up families, marriages and children. Trinity Lutheran Church offers Sunday School classes for children 3 years old through 8th Grade. Sunday School classes take place at our school campus at 515 S. MacArthur Blvd. from 9:30 – 10:15 am each Sunday. Parents are encouraged to attend the Adult Bible Class which takes place at the same time. Childcare for children under 3 years old is offered for parents who would like to attend Adult Bible Class.
Vacation Bible School
Each summer, Trinity Lutheran Church hosts a Vacation Bible School for the children of the congregation, as well as the community. Trinity’s VBS takes place in the evenings and includes dinner, making it easier for the children of working parents to participate. Easter Egg Hunt
Each year, Trinity Lutheran Church offers an Easter Egg Hunt for the children of our neighborhood, as well as our church members. In addition to a massive egg hunt with more than 1,000 eggs, the event also includes many fun craft stations, cookie decorating, and the retelling of the Easter story through an engaging object lesson.
