Social Distancing Resources
Trinity will offer Communion at the school campus on Sunday, May 31. We will be upholding all safety guidelines while distributing the Sacrament: individual cups will be prepared, our pastors and elders will be wearing gloves (to ensure no contact with the wafer and wine), and we will welcome groups of 10 (9 Communicants and 1 pastor) in the room at one time. The time for this event will be 9:00am – 11:00am. You must sign up for time slots. Our time slots will be every 15 minutes (9:00am, 9:15am, 9:30am, etc.) until 11:00am and only 9 people per group. If you would like to sign up, please contact the church office at 217-787-2323 or email@example.com.
On Monday, May 4th, Trinity Lutheran Church will begin sending a weekly e-newsletter with helpful information to keep you connected throughout the week. This email will include updates, announcements, a weekly schedule of video postings, and Scripture readings. Click the link below to subscribe.

Even though we can’t meet in person we can still worship together! Visit our YouTube channel to worship with us.
When preparing to worship with us from home, it’s helpful to find a space with the fewest distractions. In addition to your TV or computer; you may want to grab your Bible and hymnal (if you have one.) If you have small children, assemble some coloring pages or quiet toys to keep their hands busy while they listen.
Gather your family together and take some time to settle yourselves and prepare your hearts and minds for worship. Begin with a prayer asking God to bless your worship time. You may choose to light a candle before you begin the service.
Our classic worship service is recorded in the sanctuary and provides a normal worship experience, just as you would experience if you were here on any given weekend. We also provide a second, more family friendly worship option. This service contains all of the key parts of worship (invocation, absolution, scripture reading, message, creed, offering, lord’s prayer, and benediction) but in a more condensed and personal format.
Sunday School video lessons will be made available! Our Sunday School teachers have a plan in place to bring you a video lesson each week. The lessons will include reading an Arch Book that connects with the lesson of the week. Printable sheets will also be made available. Visit our Sunday school webpage for links to the videos and lesson sheets.
Trinity’s pastors will be recording short devotions throughout the week, which will be made available through our Facebook page and our YouTube channel. Look for these to posted regularly.
In addition, we encourage you to check out the many resources offered by Lutheran Hour Ministries.
KFUO Christian Radio is another wonderful resource that you can utilize during this time.
While this is a difficult time financially, we encourage you to continue returning a portion God’s blessings to Him. This is an important element of the worship experience and we trust that God will bless our efforts as we work to maintain this practice during uncertain times.
